On May 31, panel meeting of the 26th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium was held in conference center. A total of 7 teachers and 17 students were elected as the official representatives of Jiangsu University (JSU). President Prof. Yan Xiaohong, head of the delegation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Vice President Prof. Zhao Yutao was the host of the event. Leaders of International Office, and Department of Students’ Affairs, as well as delegates of teachers and students, also attended the meeting.
To begin, Director Li Zhongxing first congratulated all the delegates. He briefly introduced the history and development of the Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium while emphasizing the disciplinary requirements for attending such conferences. Vice President Zhao Yutao then put forward specific requirements for all teachers and students. He highlighted the fact that this academic seminar is a valuable platform for everyone to broaden their horizons and improve their abilities. Specifically, Professor Zhao Yutao expressed the hope that everyone can fully improve their academic ability, exercise their English expression skills and fully demonstrate their talents.
Finally, President Yan Xiaohong emphasized that JSU’s delegation should begin the official operation stage after the conference. He remarked that the Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium is not only an academic seminar but also a cultural exchange symposium, and the representatives of teachers and students are both masters and members, and the messengers of friendship. Additionally, he asked all teachers and students to attach great importance to this international event and fully promote exchanges between countries.
From October 20th to 24th this year, the 26th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium will be held at Jiangsu University under the themes of population, food, energy, environment and the Belt and Road Initiative. The Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium (Tri-U) has been co-sponsored by Jiangsu University of China, Japan's Mie University and Chiang Mai University in Thailand since 1994. It has been held for 25 consecutive years and has grown to involve more than 10 countries and more than 20 universities. These academic events have provided a good platform for professors, young scholars and university students in Asia to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, enhance scientific research and improve academic standards.
